TurboGears Hackathon?

I’ve been talking with some people about putting together a mini-turbogears conf later this fall. Probably sometime in late November or early December. The idea would be to get together, learn more about Ajax, TurboGears, and hack on some cool stuff. It would be designed for all skill levels from total beginners, all the way up to people who want to get down and dirty with the TurboGears internals.

If you’re interested, drop me a line at Mark@(this web address).com, or leave a comment here.

You may want to talk to Bruce Eckel as he stated in July [1] that he might hold an event for TurboGears at the end of the year. Maybe both efforts could be combined into one event.

  2. John,

Good memory! This is the same event. We’re trying to figure out if we can find a good date and time, and I thought I’d gather up the people who were interested in my end, so we could propose a couple of dates.

Hopefully we’ll have gotten things nailed down in a week or two.

  3. Oprius would be interested in an event, the problem is timing and money (on our part). November/December is right when we wanted to make a release.

It’d probably be best to count us out on this one, but another would probably be interesting.

  4. Xentac,

Good luck on the release! I know I’m looking forward to it, everything looks very cool so far!
